EDGE New Jersey (EDGE NJ) is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven fundraising leader to serve as its first Director of Development. This is a rare opportunity to build a modern development program from the ground up and lead a multiyear capital campaign that will create New Jersey’s first permanent Pride & Wellness Center—a transformational investment in LGBTQ+ health and wellness.

The Director of Development will shape EDGE NJ’s philanthropic identity, strengthen donor relationships, and expand private revenue at a pivotal moment in the organization's growth. This role is ideal for a mission-driven, entrepreneurial fundraiser who thrives in a builder’s environment and is energized by designing systems, strategies, and donor experiences that reflect authenticity and care.

Key responsibilities: Leading major gifts and individual giving; serving as internal lead for the capital campaign; cultivating corporate partnerships; collaborating on compelling fundraising communications; establishing development systems and workflows; and providing strategic oversight for fundraising events. The Director will work closely with the CEO, Chief Impact Officer, and Community Engagement team.

Requirements

Qualifications: Demonstrated success in major gift fundraising, experience with capital campaigns, strong donor cultivation and stewardship skills, and the ability to build infrastructure and processes. Cultural humility and a commitment to LGBTQ+ health equity are essential. Experience with DonorPerfect or Givecloud is preferred.  APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, May 8, 2026
